BAM

The German authority for materials research and testing (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, BAM) awards the official international label for approved products for transportation purposes on public traffic routes (UN-number). Prerequisite for the assignment of an UN-number is approved safety of a product for the transport of hazardous materials. The BAM testing- and certification procedures include continous product testings (extreme stress tests on basis of drop tests, hydrostatic inside as well as external compressive tests) and process testings (documented quality management).

For offside-plant transport of hazardous goods only the use of homologated safety containers with an UN-number is allowed. Our safety transportation containers passed the BAM comprehensive evaluation - you can find our approved safety containers of different sizes here. Basis for the BAM-inspections are i.e.

• the GGVSEB, the GGVSee and other legal requirements
• The notice and consent for carriage of dangerous goods by air (Bekanntmachung und Erlaubnis zur Beförderung gefährlicher Güter im Luftverkehr durch Luftfahrtunternehmen)
• BAM-rules concerning the requirements for the transport of dangerous goods (BAM-GGR) as well as additional BAM-regulations

TÜV

The Technical Inspection Agency (Technischer Überwachungsverein, TÜV) grants among others the german safety- and usability-label GS (geprüfte Sicherheit, i.e. tested safety) commonly used in Germany. Also accredited testing laboratories can provide this label. The TÜV performs technical prototype-testing, inspection of production facilities and documentation of both. Basis for these procedures are mainly:

• the GPSG,
• TÜV-examination regulations and/or
• DIN-regulations.
